Massage in Trabzon Open in the Evening: Hammam Hours, Last Booking and the Two Floors

Beatus Spa Trabzon, inside the Radisson Blu Hotel Trabzon, is open every day from 07:00 to 23:00. The last booking is taken 1 hour before closing for a massage, and 2 hours before closing for a massage and hammam together. The hammam and the massage rooms on the upper floor are reserved for women all day; there is no separate hammam for men, and the lower floor is mixed.

Someone looking for a spa in the evening usually asks this: "If I go now, will I make it? Which floor is for me, and who do I call and what do I write?" This article is aimed at exactly that moment. We have put the time arithmetic, the layout of the floors and the booking message in one place; we don't go into the history of the hammam or the story of the pool, and we have linked to the relevant guides for those. All the location's details are on the Trabzon location page, and the phone and WhatsApp line are on the call card on this page.

What time does the spa open and close for a Trabzon evening massage or hammam?

The opening hours on the location page are 07:00 to 23:00 every day, and they match the hours on the Google business profile. So you can come before breakfast or after dinner.

Two things need separating. First, "the spa is open" and "I can book for today" are not the same. The doors are open until closing, but appointment sessions such as massage and hammam are planned so that they finish before closing. Second, 07:00 to 23:00 is the location's general opening time; we have no separately announced hours for bayram and public holidays. If you are planning on those days, confirming the time by message is the surest way.

The fitness centre has the same hours, 07:00 to 23:00. If you only want to swim, or to use the sauna or steam room, ask in your message whether those areas need a booking or have a rule before closing, and leave yourself time to cool down after the hot rooms.

How is the last booking worked out?

The location's rule is this: the last booking is 1 hour before closing for a massage, and 2 hours before closing if you are taking a massage and hammam together. Because the rule is given as a length of time and not a clock time, you work it out from the closing time.

With a closing time of 23:00, the sums look like this:

What you wantRuleLast booking if closing is 23:00
Massage only1 hour before closing22:00
Massage and hammam together2 hours before closing21:00
Hammam onlyAsk the locationLet the location confirm
Pool, sauna, steam roomAsk the location about the booking ruleLet the location confirm

In the table, only the massage-only and the massage-and-hammam rows rest on the rule the location gave. For hammam-only and pool-only visits we don't have a separate last-booking time, so instead of leaving a blank we have written "ask the location". You can settle that with one line in your message: "What is the last booking today for the hammam only?"

The sums also tell you this: someone picking up the phone at 20:45 and asking for a "massage and hammam" is not ruled out, but is right on the edge of the rule. Whether there is still space, and which time is free, only the location knows. So the answer to "will I make it?" is not in this article but on the WhatsApp line, which answers in 1 to 2 minutes; the location says its receptionists reply to WhatsApp messages in about that time.

How early should you arrive, and how does the evening go?

The International SPA Association (ISPA) recommends arriving about 30 minutes before your session, so there is time to check in and slow down. Add that to the last-booking sums.

If the last massage-only booking is 22:00, being at the door at 21:30 gives you a comfortable start, and for a massage and hammam booked for 21:00, being there at 20:30 does the same. This is not a "required arrival time"; it is ISPA's general spa advice, and you can ask in your booking message how the location handles arrivals.

You can picture the evening like this:

  1. Entering through the hotel lobby. The spa is on floor -4 and you go down from the hotel lobby. Guests from outside the hotel are welcome by appointment.
  2. Changing and the peştemal. The peştemal (a thin cotton wrap) for the hammam is provided at the location. If you are going to swim, you will need a swimsuit and a cap.
  3. Showering. Showering before the hot areas and the pool is both etiquette and a matter of pool hygiene; the Ministry of Health also requires that pool users can shower before entering the pool.
  4. The session. The massage or hammam you have booked. It is always right to say out loud how much pressure you want, your heat preference and anything that bothers you.
  5. Cooling down. At the end of the evening, don't go straight outside; sit for a few minutes and drink water.

For the finer points of order (hammam first or massage first), see our guide to hammam and massage on the same day: order and timing. We add only the evening-specific point here: if you want your massage after the hammam in a session close to closing, don't split the total time in two on your own; ask the location "what start time lets us finish both comfortably?"

Two floors, two arrangements: women upstairs, mixed downstairs

The Trabzon location has two floors, and the layout directly shapes how you plan your booking.

Upper floorLower floor
Who uses itWomen only, all dayWomen and men (mixed)
What is thereMassage rooms, women's changing rooms, a steam room, the Turkish hammamPool, sauna, steam room, fitness centre; massage rooms
HoursThe women-only arrangement applies all day; there are no separate "women's hours"The general opening hours

There is no time-based arrangement in the women's area: the hammam, the steam room and the upper-floor massage rooms belong to women guests in the morning and in the evening alike. The traditional pattern we know from historic hammams, "these hours for women, those hours for men" (the Türkiye Turizm Ansiklopedisi describes how single hammams set aside certain hours for men or for women), is not needed here, because the separation by floor already covers every hour of the day.

That has two practical consequences for an evening plan. First, a woman guest can plan a hammam late in the evening without wondering whether the area will be mixed at that hour. Second, there is no hammam option for a male guest. We write this plainly because leaving it unclear would send people on a journey for nothing. For a full description of the floor, see our guide to the women-only hammam and massage floor.

Which massage room you will have is settled when you book. As for the gender of the specialist, we cannot promise a choice; it differs from one location to another, so ask by phone or message.

An evening plan for women

The basic fact for a woman guest: the hammam, the steam room and the upper floor's massage rooms are reserved for women all day. That does not change in the evening.

Here are three typical evening plans:

  • After work, a short plan. If you want only a massage, the 1-hour margin in the rule gives you a wide window. For example, a session between 19:30 and 20:30, a few minutes' rest and then out.
  • A hammam evening. If you want a massage and hammam together, count 2 hours before closing as your limit and put a rest between them. For the length of the hammam session, look at the ritual durations on the menu (Turkish bath page) and at the programme the location is running that day; don't assume that every ritual is offered at every location.
  • An evening with friends. If several of you are coming, give the number of people in your message and say whether you want to start together or one after another. We don't publish group capacity; the location will tell you whether there is space.

We have described what happens in a scrub and foam session, step by step, in scrub and foam massage. Instead of repeating it, we add one practical note: if you are going to the hammam in the evening, it is more comfortable to come a little while after a meal, not straight after eating. That is not a rule; it is a tip often given in spa practice.

An evening plan for men, couples and families

For male guests, the evening plan is on the lower floor: massage rooms, the pool, the sauna and the steam room. Because the hammam is reserved for women, a male guest has no hammam session; there is no men's hammam, and we don't suggest there is.

The location has a couples' massage room and a VIP room with a jacuzzi inside. In a couples' massage room two people have their sessions side by side. We have no details on which floor the VIP room is on, how many people it is for or how its booking works, so you need to ask by message. Our couples massage guide explains in general how a session works in rooms like these.

For a couple, an evening often works like this: the woman uses the hammam and her own floor, the man spends time in the pool and sauna on the lower floor, and, if you like, you add the couples' room for a side-by-side massage and put that in the booking separately. For a family plan with children, the data we have published has no rule on children's use of the pool and sauna; if you are coming with a child, ask before you book.

Using the pool, sauna and steam room in the evening

The lower floor has a pool, a sauna and a steam room; a swimsuit and a cap are required in the pool. If you don't have a cap and swimsuit with you, you can buy them at the spa.

The outdoor pool is used between June and September, and that depends on a decision the hotel management makes each year. Whether the outdoor pool is open in the evening is something to ask the location that day, whatever the weather and season. No restriction has been announced on the indoor pool's hours either; even so, "is the pool open this evening too?" is the shortest question you can add to your message.

For the sauna and steam room in the evening, Harvard Health Publishing's general precautions are a useful guide: limit a sauna session to 15 to 20 minutes, avoid alcohol before and after, cool down slowly afterwards and drink water. Rather than a long sauna immediately before an evening massage, keeping the hot part short and going to the massage with a relaxed body is more comfortable for most people; that is a planning suggestion, not a health promise.

Our guide that goes through the pool, hammam and sauna order in detail is the Trabzon hammam with pool guide, where you will find the tiled hammam and the outdoor and indoor pools explained. This article covers only the evening-hours side.

Getting to the spa: from Ortahisar, Akçaabat and Yomra, and where to park

The location's address is Soğuksu, Boztepe Mah. Numan Gül Cad., Çamlık Sk. No:2, Ortahisar / Trabzon. It is inside the Radisson Blu Hotel Trabzon.

Most of our guests come from Ortahisar, Akçaabat and Yomra. There is no shuttle for spa guests, so plan to come by your own car or by taxi. Parking is free and there is no valet service. If you are coming late in the evening, think about parking in advance, and allow a few minutes to get out of the car and go down to the spa from the lobby.

Entry is through the hotel lobby and the spa is on floor -4. The spa can be used with a wheelchair. If you don't want to meet a problem at the door, you can have your own route confirmed in advance by writing "I'll be coming in a wheelchair" in your message.

If you want to combine the spa with other plans in Trabzon, the things to do in Trabzon guide and, for a cold-season plan, Trabzon and Uzungöl in winter will help.

Information for English-speaking and international guests

English-speaking staff work at the location. A translation app is used for other languages. We cannot promise that messages can be exchanged in Arabic or any other language, and writing your WhatsApp message in English, or in short, simple Turkish, gets a quick result.

A visitor's message needs only three things: the date and time, the number of people and the service you want. If you use the word "hammam", say whether you are a woman or a man too, because it shows the location straight away which area to direct you to; the hammam is reserved for women.

How is the price decided, and where do you find it?

We do not publish prices on the website. They vary with the type of service you choose, its length and the number of people, so you need to get the current information from the location. We explain why some services are priced differently in how massage and hammam prices are set.

Adding "could you write the current information?" to your message brings you both an available time and the service's current terms in the first reply. We also suggest asking about the cancellation and change rules when you book; ISPA's general spa advice is to ask about cancellation terms at the time of booking.

Booking: what to write on WhatsApp

There is no online booking system; you book by phone or WhatsApp. The numbers are on the call card at the top of this page and on the Trabzon location page, and from the call card you can phone or open WhatsApp with one tap.

A good message has five things: date and time, number of people, service, anything special, and the question that matters most to you. With those five, the location can give you the right option in a single reply.

Example message 1: this evening, two people, massage and hammam

Hello, we'd like to book a massage and hammam for 2 people today at 20:00. One of us will be using the hammam. Is that available? What time should we be there, and what is the last booking rule? Thank you.

Example message 2: massage only, late

Good evening, is there a slot for a single massage at around 21:30 today? Before I set out, I'd like to know today's closing time and last booking time.

Example message 3: couples' massage

Hello, I'd like to book the couples' massage room for 2 people tomorrow evening. Could you tell me the available times and what the room offers?

Example message 4: a woman guest, hammam

Hello, I'd like a hammam and massage booking for Saturday evening at 19:00. There are 3 of us, all women. What times are available?

What not to put in the message: instead of sharing health information by message, speak to your specialist face to face at the location; in the message you can simply say "I have a special circumstance, I'll explain when I arrive."

When should you call and when should you write? If you are about to set out today and are looking for a last-minute slot, phoning may be quicker. If you want to sort out a group booking or several questions at once, a short phone call is faster than messaging. A message, on the other hand, leaves a written record; your time and number of people stay on the screen, and you can forward it to friends.

A last checklist before you set out

Once you have a booking, run through this short list before leaving:

  • Do your booking time, number of people and service read the same way in the location's reply?
  • Has the closing and last booking time been confirmed for that day?
  • Do you have your swimsuit and cap with you? If you are going to use the pool and have not brought them, they are sold at the spa, though matching sizes takes time.
  • Have you left 10 to 15 minutes for parking and the lobby entrance?
  • If there is a health condition, pregnancy or heat sensitivity, have you spoken to your doctor before going to the spa?
  • If a male friend or family member is coming with you, do they know the hammam is reserved for women?

Frequently asked questions

Is the Trabzon spa open now, and what is the latest I can come?

The location is open every day from 07:00 to 23:00. The last booking is taken 1 hour before closing for a massage and 2 hours before closing for a massage and hammam; with closing at 23:00, that means 22:00 and 21:00. We have no separate hours for bayram and public holidays, so ask the location on WhatsApp for those days.

Is the hammam in Trabzon open to men?

No. The hammam, the steam room and the massage rooms on the upper floor are reserved for women all day, and there is no separate hammam for men. Male guests can use the pool, sauna, steam room and massage rooms on the lower floor. If your partner is going into the hammam, you can spend your time on the lower floor.

Can I have a couples' massage, and is there a VIP room?

The location has a couples' massage room and a VIP room with a jacuzzi inside. In the couples' room, two people have their sessions side by side. Whether the rooms are free in the evening is settled when you book; say "couples' room" or "VIP room" in your message and the location will write which is suitable.

Can I come to the spa in the evening without staying at the hotel?

Yes. Beatus Spa Trabzon is inside the Radisson Blu Hotel Trabzon, and guests who are not staying at the hotel are also welcome by appointment. Entry is through the hotel lobby, and the spa is on floor -4. Parking is free and there is no valet service; there is no separate shuttle for spa guests either, so you plan your own journey.

Can the spa be used in a wheelchair?

Yes, the location can be used with a wheelchair. The spa is on floor -4 and entry is through the hotel lobby; parking is free. If you want to confirm the route and the suitability of the area for your own situation before you come, one sentence in your message is enough; the location can also describe the way from the lobby to the spa. We have no detail on lifts and stairs, so we suggest asking in your message.

Can I book in English or another language?

English-speaking staff work at the location, and a translation app is used for other languages. We cannot promise correspondence in Arabic. The quickest way is to write the date, time, number of people and service in short, simple sentences; a message such as "massage and hammam, 2 people, today 20:00" is enough.

What should I write to book?

Write the date and time, the number of people, the service you want (massage, hammam or both) and a short note if there is anything special. Then add the question you most want answered: the last booking, the couples' room or the pool. Don't share health information; tell your specialist in person at the location.
